The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, Asia Pacific’s oldest award for excellence in the creative communications industries, prides itself on providing “the region’s creative communications industry with a platform to network and exchange ideas, bringing together the finest creative thinkers from around the world.”

As a testament to this mission, J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific and Spikes Asia are partnering to launch Think Tank, a program designed to help senior marketers better understand the role of creativity in brand communications, and ensure that their client strategies are effective in today’s constantly changing business environment.

“Think Tank aims to help brand owners unlock the hidden potential of their brand, and develop pioneering solutions for through innovative creative ideas,” said Tom Doctoroff, J. Walter Thompson Asia Pacific CEO.

On September 9, the first day of the Festival, the custom one-day Think Tank program will launch, offering up to 20 influential senior market leaders the opportunity take part in a thought-provoking dialogue with a series of experts. Think Tank will also provide participants with the chance to network with industry peers as they debate and discuss the challenges they each face in their business.

Think Tank will be moderated this year by Elena Sukacheva, Managing Director of The Economist Group’s Content Solutions Unit. Sukacheva has a wide variety of strategy and marketing experience. She has worked for Kraft Foods as a Senior Director of Strategy for the Beverages Unit and as Associate Partner at McKinsey and Co, serving Retail and Consumers Packaged Goods clients. Prior to joining McKinsey, she worked as Vice President of Brand Strategy at Leo Burnett, in Detroit, and as an account director at Publicis, in Moscow.

The Asian launch of the program marks the international expansion of Think Tank, which was launched at Dubai Lynx 2013.

— CMOs, Senior Marketers, Brand Directors and others interested in participating in Think Tank should contact Steve Latham, Lions Festivals Director of Talent and Training at stevel@lionsfestivals.com, or visit www.spikes.asia/ for more information.
