The Lexus Hoverboard has finally been revealed in all its glory — and the best part of all? It lets you skate on water. The car company spent July teasing us with trailers hinting at its capabilities: we saw it float, we saw mysterious vapours ebb from its body, and we saw pro-skateboarder Ross McGouran talk it up. Now we have just over two minutes of footage showing the board in action, and it was worth the wait.

3D-printed pill
The world’s first 3D-printed pill has been given the green light in the US. Created by Aprecia Pharmaceuticals, Spritam levetiracetam is a prescription drug used to treat a variety of seizures in adults and children with epilepsy. To make it, Aprecia used power-liquid three-dimensional printing, which was first developed for rapid prototyping at MIT in the 1980s.

Your phone battery just can’t be trusted!
A group of researchers have demonstrated how to track users with nothing more than their remaining battery power, which could compromise privacy. A little-known feature of the HTML5 specification means that websites can find out how much battery power a visitor has left on their smartphone or laptop – and now, security researchers have warned that this information can be used to track browsers online.

Is Apple building a mobile phone network?
Apple has firmly denied reports that it is planning to launch its own mobile phone network in the USA and Europe. Business Insider had claimed the firm was testing a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) service in the USA, which would see it renting capacity from other operators and offer its own mobile plans.
