Universal McCann is a full service media communications agency, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies (NYSE:IPG). UM was first recognized as a brand within McCann Erickson in 1996. The “new” and fiscally independent UM began operating in 2006. Independence means that we work closely with IPG sibling agencies such as TM and Carmichael Lynch, and that we also have our own media clients, such as Sony and Johnson & Johnson, who are unaffiliated with other IPG agencies.
