Lode Schaeffer began his career in advertising in 1988 and has successfully developed both himself as Creative Director and INDIE as a leading creative agency. His experience was gained at Kuiper & Schouten followed by DDB Needham Worldwide where he became an internationally awarded Creative Director. It was, however, through the creative freedom of INDIE that he reinforced his status as the prominent Creative Director he is today.

Through his career, Lode has been awarded seventeen Effectiveness Awards, twenty Lions in Cannes, forty-three ADCN (Art Directors Club Netherlands) Lamps and the coveted Grand Prix at the New York festival. His achievements and contributions to creativity have been recognized by the Art Directors Club Netherlands with a Lifetime Achievement Award and inclusion into the Hall of Fame. In addition, in 2008 INDIE was named Agency of the Year cementing its reputation of one of the most successful Dutch agencies. Since September 2011, Lode has been chairman of the ADCN.
