MEC Announces Sponsorship of Advertising Week 2013

MEC, a leading global media agency today announced for the third consecutive year its sponsorship of Advertising Week, the annual gathering of advertising, marketing and media industry leaders, on September 23-27, 2013 in New York City.
As Advertising Week celebrates its 10th anniversary, MEC will be hosting a thought leadership presentation entitled , MEC Momentum: A Whole New Take On How Consumers Make Purchase Decisions (Mon, Sept 23, 1pm - B.B. King Blues Club), presenting its new proprietary approach to understanding and quantifying the consumer purchase pathway. Using the latest thinking in decision-making psychology, MEC Momentum is a landmark global study that examines the purchase behavior of over 100,000 consumers so far, across multiple categories and countries, through extensive qualitative and quantitative research, to reveal deep insights into emotional engagement, brand commitment and the real drivers of brand choice. This compelling new approach to communications planning will be presented by Pele Cortizo-Burgess, Global Head of Integrated Planning and Damian Thompson, Global Head of Consumer Insight.

Kicking-off Advertising Week 2013 at the annual IAB’s MIXX Conference & Expo, Brian King, Global Brand Officer, Marriott International, will reveal key insights about what should be at the heart of cross-platform advertising from a new ethnographic research study: Video Lives 2013, co-created by Marriott, MEC, Tremor Video, and SonicRim. Rachel Israel, Managing Partner, MEC, will join Brian in discussing how video marketing is redefining advertising and creating authentic brand experiences. Melanie Varley, Chief Strategy Officer, MEC Global, will participate alongside Nadine McHugh, Vice President, Global Integrated Media Communications, Colgate-Palmolive, at the AWNY Breakfast Series on a panel entitled Innovation in a Time of Disruption.
