Arnold Worldwide Brings On Co-Chief Creative Officer for New York Office

Creative Powerhouse Aaron Griffiths to Co-Lead Creative Department
New York, NY, May 8, 2012 – Arnold Worldwide is thrilled to announce that advertising veteran and creative powerhouse Aaron Griffiths will join the New York office (Arnoldnyc) effective May 21. Griffiths will partner with Arnoldnyc’s current Chief Creative Officer John Staffen to co-lead the agency’s creative vision and co-manage the creative team. He will report to Andrew Benett, Global CEO of Arnold Worldwide and Global Chief Strategy Officer of Havas Worldwide.
“Arnold’s New York office has experienced significant growth, and under John’s creative leadership we’ve grown existing client business such as Hershey’s chocolate business. At the same time we’ve won a variety of new business ranging from Kohler, Optiwind, Tribe Hummus, Sanofi-Aventis and Unilever, ” said Benett. “As a result of this swift growth and to ensure that we’re delivering above and beyond our clients’ expectations, we’re bringing Aaron onboard to partner with John. I believe that, together, they will bolster Arnold’s creative reputation to even greater heights.”
Staffen will continue to partner with Arnoldnyc President Lynn Power to manage the New York office’s operations. Together, through new business wins and organic client growth, Staffen and Power have led the New York agency to 44% in revenue gains and 55% increase in staff count (to approximately 200 people) since 2010.
Staffen added, “I’m really excited to partner with Aaron and to welcome him to our creative team. This is a big, next step for us as a growing agency. It’s a reflection of our commitment to deliver great work to our clients and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Griffiths joins Arnold with an impressive portfolio of work created at agencies including TBWA/Chiat/Day, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Throughout his career, he’s worked on several blue-chip brands, such as IBM, Yahoo!, HP, Fanta and Michelin, and has been recognized by international award festivals, including Cannes, One Show, LIAA, Clios, Effies, Andy’s, Art Director’s Club, D&AD and the New York Festival.
In addition, Griffiths brings extensive digital and integration experience to Arnold. As OgilyOne’s Worldwide Creative Director for IBM, he helped bring together the creative groups from Ogilvy & Mather and OgilvyOne to form a fully integrated, global creative team. For Yahoo! Music, his team’s award-winning work helped establish the brand as an early leader in the highly competitive digital music space. Prior to Ogilvy, Griffiths was at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he helped develop their interactive advertising discipline and created award-winning campaigns for HP, Saturn and Specialized Bikes.
