Brent Vartan Takes on Role of Partner, Chief Strategy Officer at Deutsch NY

June 5, 2012—NEW YORK—Val DiFebo, CEO of Deutsch NY, announced today that Brent Vartan has been promoted to Partner, Chief Strategy Officer from EVP, Director of Strategic Planning. “Brent is an intellectual superpower and a forward thinker who has lead and championed great insights for our clients that push and test marketing boundaries,” said DiFebo.
"Deutsch is a truly unique place; we do things a bit differently here," said Vartan. "I find myself in lockstep with an ethos that is built on business solutions before all else. I am thrilled to be leading Strategic Planning at Deutsch NY, and looking forward to building continued client and Agency success."
Leading account planning since 2010, and now replacing the position most recently held by Bert Moore, Vartan joined the Agency in 2008. He’s been responsible for uncovering the DNA and strategic inflection points for brands including Microsoft and Novartis, and has been instrumental in generating business growth. DiFebo noted, “Brent is the real deal; he is smart, likable and trusted by everyone at Deutsch and our clients. You don’t find that too often.”
Vartan has over 14 years of industry experience working on brands including Starwood, IKEA, Monster.com, USAA, Lay’s, Lowe’s and the NFL to name a few. Prior to Deutsch, he worked at BBDO New York, and also spent time at both Hill Holliday and Goldberg Moser O’Neill.
Anush Prabhu Joins Deutsch NY As Partner, Director of Insights and Communications Planning

May 31, 2012 New York—Deutsch New York CEO Val DiFebo announced today that Anush Prabhu has ‘boomeranged’ his way back to Deutsch NY, this time as Partner, Director of Insights and Communications Planning. Joining from mcgarrybowen, his first day at Deutsch will be June 4.
“I’m thrilled to have Anush in a leadership role at Deutsch,” said DiFebo. “Measurement and accountability have always been key drivers for our work, and our clients. With Anush on board, we’ll continue to refine and build out measurement tools and ROI models that provide critical evaluation of marketing opportunities.”

Prabhu originally joined Deutsch NY in 2000, and in 2007 as VP, Director of CRM Strategy, left to join JWT. At JWT, Prabhu was Group Planning Head, where he started an analytics group and codirected communications planning while working on clients including Johnson & Johnson, Royal Caribbean, Microsoft, Cadbury and UnitedHealth Group. In 2010, Prabhu joined mcgarrybowen as Managing Director, Communications Planning & Analytics. Over the next two years, he built the two disciplines of analytics and communications planning from scratch, working on clients including JPMorgan Chase, Verizon, United Airlines, Sears and Marriott.

CP+B’s Qian Qian joins Deutsch NY as VP, Creative Director

May 21, 2012 New York—Greg DiNoto, Chief Creative Officer and Partner of Deutsch New York, announced today that Qian Qian, most recently with CP+B Boulder, will join the Agency as VP, Creative Director on June 11. At Deutsch NY, Qian will work across all accounts in the Agency, including PNC Bank, Microsoft and Unilever.
DiNoto noted "Qian’s passion is evident in everything he does, and he's a real talent—he's as strong conceptually as he is as a designer. We’re excited to have him aboard."
Qian was with CP+B Boulder since 2010 as Interactive Design Director, working on clients including Domino's, Baby Carrots, and Coke Zero. He has also worked at agencies including AKQA, McCann Erickson, and OgilvyOne in Beijing, on clients including Coca-Cola, MasterCard, and Guinness. He has created illustrations for Wallpaper* Magazine, and was an Assistant Professor at
Missouri State University from 2003-2007 teaching students Web design and new technologies.
His work has been recognized with multiple industry awards including a Cannes Bronze Cyber Lions, and awards from D&AD, One Show Interactive, The Clio Awards, The Webby Awards, and The FWA.

May 2, 2012 New York – Deutsch NY announced today that Suzanne Molinaro has joined the Agency as SVP, Director of Digital Production. Suzanne will oversee production of digital projects across all accounts, including Microsoft, PNC Bank and Unilever, at the right hand of Joe Calabrese, EVP, Director of Integrated Production. Most recently with JWT New York, she will start at Deutsch on May 7.
“Suzanne brings incredible skill and world-class experience to a vital role at the agency,” noted Calabrese. “She's a proven and passionate leader who will boost our game. We're lucky to have her.”
With the department experiencing fast-paced growth and to keep up with client demand, Stephanie Lee-Pang will take on the title of SVP, Director of Digital Operations. Stephanie, most recently Director of Interactive Production, has been with Deutsch since 2004. “Stephanie knows the ins-and-outs of Deutsch like no other, she is exceptionally talented at managing the workload and identifying resources before they are needed,” said Erica Grau, Partner, Chief Operating Officer, Deutsch NY.
