President, McCann Erickson New York
Chris is President of McCann Erickson New York, the flagship and largest agency of McCann Erickson Worldwide and its parent company, McCann Worldgroup. He was promoted to this post in 2013 from Chief Executive of McCann London, another of McCann’s key hub cities.
Chris joined McCann London in 2005 as Client Services Director, was promoted to Managing Director later the same year and to Chief Executive Officer in 2008. Under his leadership, the agency experienced considerable success, winning over $150 million in new billings, major creative awards for American Airlines, Heinz and Xbox work, and was named one of London’s three best agencies by Campaign Magazine. McCann London also was a key member of the McCann Worldgroup team that handled the successful and high profile marketing program for the London 2012 Olympics.
A veteran of the London advertising industry for over 20 years, starting as a graduate trainee at DMB&B, Chris has a proven track record of developing effective and honored communications for many blue chip clients including Coca-Cola, Virgin Mobile, Intel, MasterCard and News International, among others. He has held leading roles at some of the most successful London agencies: Associate Director at Lowe Howard-Spink; Head of Account Management at Publicis London as the agency moved into the top 5; one of three Managing Partners at RKCR/Y&R after their merger in 1999.
Chief Marketing Officer, McCann North America

Alex Lubar joined the agency as Chief Marketing Officer for McCann Erickson North America in mid-2012 from a similar post at Grey Advertising. At McCann, he has led initiatives that have brought in a range of high profile clients across categories, including the United States Postal Service, Jose Cuervo, the Ignite Restaurant Group and the Frozen Food Council.
Alex has a proven business development track record, as well as cross-platform leadership experience in directing innovative programs for both new and iconic brands. He is solutions-focused, and truly enjoys the complexity and challenges of today’s business environment.
Chief Strategy Officer
Steve Zaroff joined McCann New York in 2012 as the agency’s Chief Strategy Officer, with responsibility for leading the Strategic Planning Department. He has strategic oversight for the agency’s entire client base.
Steve has had more than 15 years of agency experience as a planner and strategist. Prior to joining McCann he was Head of Strategy for the digital shop, SapientNitro where he ran the strategy department and wrote the pitch-winning global brand strategy for the Volvo account.
His career began at Deutsch, working on such brands as Ikea, Tangueray Gin and Wolfgang Puck. Later at Ogilvy & Mather, where he became the youngest senior partner in the firm’s history, he led a wide variety of global brands and created the first-ever global brand and portfolio management strategy for American Express. At TBWA/Chiat Day he led the strategy for Miller Brewing. At Kirschenbaum Bond + Partners, he led the financial services practice, working with clients such as Edward Jones and Liberty Mutual Insurance.
