Mailet Lopez, (Squeaky co-founder) was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2B in March 2008 and she has been cancer-free since. After her battle and after talking openly with others about her experience, she decided to give back to the community. 

Cancer touches everyone and everyone who has been affected has a story. Inspired by our co-founder, Squeaky created IHadCancer.com, a social network that brings together everyone who has been affected by cancer including Supporters, Survivors and Fighters. 

IHadCancer.com is a place where people can share their stories, insights and experiences in hopes that they may inspire others to continue to keep up the good fight. 

IHadCancer.com set out with the goal to provide its users with an innovative, interactive platform in which to connect with others and discuss their shared, yet unique, experiences.

Users can create profiles and share their stories and experiences via the Journal feature, browse other profiles in the Community section as well as give cancer a piece of their mind in the Dear Cancer section.
