SapientNitro Appoints Sushobhan Mukherjee as VP of Strategy for Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE – August 28, 2012 – SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ:SAPE), today announced the hire of Sushobhan Mukherjee as vice president, strategy for Asia Pacific, a new position. Based in Singapore, he will help expand the company’s strategic capabilities and thought leadership across SapientNitro’s offices in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, China, India and Singapore.
An award-winning veteran marketing strategist, Mukherjee has more than 20 years of experience in nurturing and understanding brands acquired at agencies including R/GA, JWT, and Publicis. He reports to senior vice president Dr. Christian Oversohl.
“With his well rounded marketing experience across cultures, agencies and brands, Sushobhan was a great choice for this role,” said Oversohl. “Sushobhan will help clients create innovative brand experiences through insightful understanding of consumer behaviour and emotions, leveraging SapientNitro's connected capabilities across the communications and commerce continuum. This appointment represents a critical piece in our APAC growth strategy.”
Mukherjee has worked across the marketing spectrum -- from research to strategy to brand management -- at top agencies and across cultures. His holistic experiences have shaped his customer-centric, integrated approach to marketing brands. He brings to the role a solid understanding of the digital world and a connected approach rooted in his experience in connections planning. His approach has been based on creating communications that change behaviour, not merely attitudes.

CANNES, France – June 21, 2012 – SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), has won a Gold Radio Lions award for Earphone Bully, an anti-bullying interactive experience for kids, at the Cannes Lions 58th International Festival of Creativity. Earphone Bully took the gold award in the “Best Use of Music and/or Sound Design” category. The Cannes Festival of Creativity is the most prestigious international advertising and creativity showcase, drawing more than 34,000 entries from all over the world.
Earphone Bully, created by SapientNitro, encourages children to speak up against bullying by reaching them through a familiar and personal channel. For a generation glued to their earphones, Earphone Bully puts the listener in the shoes of a silent victim, prompting them to take action to stop bullying.
The website (http://www.earphonebully.org/) pushes beyond traditional radio and utilizes 3D digital sound for maximum emotional impact. The audio track, delivered by SapientNitro in partnership with radio specialist Eardrum Australia, prepares kids for schoolyard bullies through an interactive experience that promotes empathy and understanding for bystanders, parents and bullies themselves.

BRISBANE, 15 JUNE 2012: SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today announced that Ralph Barnett and Cristian Staal will assume creative leadership of the Brisbane office. The duo will ensure high standards of creative excellence and connected thinking for some of Australia’s leading marketers, including Tourism Queensland, RACQ, and Mantra.
Barnett and Staal have been part of the SapientNitro family for five years, during which they have been among the most awarded creatives in the industry, including winning a Grand Prix Cannes Lion for their “Best Job in the World” campaign for Tourism Queensland. They will report to worldwide chief creative officer Gaston Legorburu.
“Ralph and Cristian are brilliant idea engineers, skilled at blending creativity with technology seamlessly and with natural flair,” added Legorburu. “Our industry today not only requires talent that can produce great advertising spots, but that is comfortable telling great brand stories across integrated customer experiences.
