New York (August 2, 2011) – Momentum Worldwide announced today that Luke DArcy has been named to the new position of Chief Growth Officer from director, business development, EMEA, reporting to CMO Kevin McNulty.

DArcy will focus on raising the profile and awareness of the Momentum Worldwide brand, driving new and organic growth across the agency and overseeing the new business and marketing teams around the world. He will also sit on the McCann Worldgroup growth team, driving new business performance and strategy along with his counterparts at Momentum’s sister agencies.

DArcy rejoined the agency in April 2010, having previously worked at Momentum from 2002-2006.

McNulty said: “This is a great opportunity for Luke to bring his estimable qualities to the global stage. His track record and passion for our Brand and what we stand for made Luke the obvious choice for this high-profile position.”

Before joining Momentum for the second time, DArcy worked directly with Sir Richard Branson, launching the Virgin Racing F1 Team. From 1996-2001, he was new business director for network agency Euro RSCG KLP twice seeing the shop win Marketing Week’s Agency of the year and picking up Euro RSCG’s internal New Business Agency of the Year award. Account wins included winning Microsoft and PepsiCo assignments across 40 countries.

DArcy became a partner of leading global independent agency iris, where he served from 2006-2009. With 14 offices worldwide he led the global new business, PR and marketing of the agency culminating with international account wins like Hertz, Volkswagen, Shell, and ING. This period also saw the agency twice voted UK agency of the Year, APAC Agency of the Year, Sunday Times Top 10 places to work and winner of the £5m Bank of Scotland Entrepreneurs Challenge.
