The ADC, based in New York, is the premier organization for integrated media and the first international creative collective of its kind. Founded in New York in 1920, ADC is a self-funding, not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to connect, provoke and elevate creative visual communications professionals around the world. It focuses on the highest standards of excellence and integrity in visual communications for the industry, and encourages students and young professionals entering the field. ADC provides a forum for creatives in Advertising, Design, Interactive Media and Communications to explore the direction of these rapidly converging industries.

The ADC Annual Awards competition identifies and honors the best work of the year in print and broadcast advertising, interactive media, graphic design, publication design, packaging, photography and illustration.

Winners are presented at a special evening in New York City in April. The event includes a reception, multimedia awards presentation, and party. The winners are also documented in the Art Directors Annual and their works displayed at the exhibition. Higher award winners are also included in exhibitions that travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia and South America.

Continuously published since 1920, The Art Directors Annual is the world’s most widely distributed creative awards reference book and source of inspiration. Every winning entry is reproduced in full-color with complete credits in a 500-page hardcover. The Art Directors Annual 88 will be available in December 2009.
