When watching a commercial directed by David Kellogg, not only do you enjoy an entertaining story adeptly told in a minute’s time, but seamless performances from a wide range of talent as well. The award-winning director has worked with celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Jerry Seinfeld, Jennifer Aniston, John Cleese, Shakira and The Blue Man Group. He has directed spots for American Express, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, HBO, Intel and Nike, among many others. And he has collaborated with agencies such as Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Wieden+Kennedy, Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi.Kellogg’s commercial credits include international projects out of China, Eastern and Western Europe, Asia and South America for clients such as China Yurin Group, British Telecom, Fiat, Carlsberg and Lynx, to note only a few. His efforts overall have earned him a DGA nomination for Best Commercial Director, an Emmy Award and Nomination for Outstanding Commercial, and AICP, D&AD, BTAA and Clio awards.
Kellogg’s body of work spans music videos, film and TV as well. He’s directed promos for artists including Dave Matthews, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and David Gray, and received MVPA nominations for his efforts and an MTV Movie Award nomination. He also directed the Disney feature Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick. Early in his career, Kellogg worked as a writer/producer/director for KABC-TV in Los Angeles, where he also served as executive producer of documentaries and specials. His work there earned him four L.A. Emmy Awards
