Biscuit Filmworks is a Los Angeles-based commercial production company founded in 2000 by director Noam Murro and managing director Shawn Lacy. The company is known for cultivating some of the industry’s top talent and producing much of its most memorable work.
Orlando Wood partnered with Shawn Lacy and Noam Murro to open Biscuit Filmworks in the UK five years ago. In that time, It’s remained top 10 in Televisual’s ranking of the UK’s top production companies since it’s first full year of trading, Campaign Magazine named it runner-up production company of the year in it’s 2014 and 2015 annual issues, and the London office was runner-up production company of the year at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Shots Awards.
Biscuit has won over 50 Cannes Lions and has ranked as the second most awarded production company four times, most recently in 2013. The Gunn Report noted that Biscuit was the most awarded production company in the world in 2013. Consistently since inception, Biscuit has been one of the most prolific and award-winning companies in commercial production, with two DGA wins for Noam Murro, a DGA for Andreas Nilsson and many AICP, D&AD, Clio, Cannes and One Show awards for all of the directors on the Biscuit roster.
The company has always been included in Creativity/AdAge Magazine’s top production company list, and director Noam Murro has been named one of Creativity’s Top 50 list of creative professionals.
