| Story | The Angina Monologues was a one-night only comedy event by the British Heart Foundation, to raise awareness of heart disease amongst women. Hosted by multi BAFTA winning Victoria Wood, the night featured some of the UK's funniest comedians, including Jo Brand, Katy Brand, Roisin Conalty, Julia Davis, Jessica Hynes, Alex Jessop, Ria Jones, Vicky Pepperdine, Joanna Scanlan, Isy Suttie and Harriet Thorpe.Held at London's prestigious Theatre Royal Haymarket, the night attracted a sold-out audience of paying guests, journalists and celebs. Featuring stand-up, sketches and music from the star-studded performers, many also wrote original material exposing the facts around heart disease or exploring the psychology behind women's tendency to ignore affairs of the heart. |
