Story | Co2 the climate killer. In 2007, no other topic has dominated environmetal policy more. For good reason: According to the most recent climate models, global temperature will rise by 3.5 degrees Celsius within the near future meaning the end to many ecosystems. For years, Greenpeace has been fighting against this threat. We came to their aid with a simple idea, which can be spread easily and economically (cost-efficient) across the internet: a free screensaver, which can be installed on every computer. As soon as the screensaver kicks in (comes on), a familiar image appears on the monitor: colorful, tropical fish swimming in the ocean. But when the user returns to his computer after a few minutes, he will find a completetely different sight... ...Finally our message appears: Turning off your computer saves a lot more than just energy. By doing so, we achieved to make the medium itself to be the message. |
