Background:
Tom was raised in two different worlds ? from the diverse geographical ranges of Virginia, to the flat hills to tassel corn stalks in Iowa ? yet, he always seemed to keep his head on straight despite the differences. His ingenious father who was a Professor of Speech Telecommunications at major U.S. Universities, along with his mother and seven siblings, have taught Tom the importance of communication over the years.


Education:
? Iowa State University: Major in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising. Minor in Marketing.

Till death do his parts:
Due to Tom's dedication, training, and love for running in marathons ? at the ripe, young age of 46, (the youngest person known to Tom) ? he had a hip replacement that his doctor had habitually warned him about. However, Mr. Wilson would never let anything run him into the ground, so he has mutated into a swimmer. His running infatuation still strides beside him to this day.


Account experience:
Most recently, Tom spent two years as the Vice President of Client Services at Russell Herder overseeing the account service department and the agency's business development.


He has successfully guided and managed major agencies, including Gage, Campbell Mithun, Schmidt Dalton, Fallon Worldwide and Martin Williams. He has worked on multiple accounts and prominent brands, such as US Bank Visa card portfolio, University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, the Star Tribune, Borden Foods, Target, K-Mart, Dairy Queen, Purina, 3M, Northwest Airlines, and Owens Commercial Contractors.


Tom's versatility and 25 years of agency experience make him a leader and mentor in marketing, advertising, communications, account management, business and brand development, strategic planning, creative problem-solving, new business, and multimedia departments. Tom strives to discover solutions between brands and users that will build and sustain longevity between each relationship. His knowledge, passion, and adaptability to make connections assist the RAA team in being one of the top agencies in this industry.


?Helping clients discover solutions to their branding problems is a passion of mine. Creating and executing those solutions at a powerhouse agency like Risdall is definitely fulfilling that passion.?
