Story | Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) provides the graphic arts industry with one of the broadest portfolios of digital and conventional business solutions in the industry. To help the company launch its new Recipe Color software package, EMA employed an integrated approach that delivered tremendous results. |
Philosophy | EMAs approach integrated a prestigious award competition, case studies and print advertising. The starting point was research interviews with KPG product line managers, executives and customers to determine the softwares competitive advantages. Next we solicited customer testimonials for an entry in the celebrated Graphic Arts Technical Foundation Intertech Award Competition. With outstanding letters of support, Recipe Color software was the only digital proofing technology to receive the award. These same testimonials were repurposed into releases and case studies that appeared in four prominent industry trade publications. Simultaneously, EMA targeted print specifiers with a full-page ad touting Recipe Colors capabilities. |
Problem | Recipe Color software significantly increases the capabilities of the Kodak Approval digital halftone-proofing system. Our task was to break through the clutter of recently launched competitive products, and to communicate the softwares features and benefits to an audience in the early stages of the digital technology learning curve. |
