Business Sector Anti-Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco Message
Story People in India have the habit of chewing tobacco wrapped in betel-nut leaves (called paan) and spitting the juice out on the nearest wall. 49% of oral cancer cases are a result of chewing tobacco in this form. Betel-juice stains being a deep red colour, resemble bloodstains. So wherever we found them, we put up the message ‘chewing tobacco kills’ to remind people of the consequences of this dangerous habit.
Result An increased public awareness about the fact that chewing tobacco causes oral cancer.
