David took up the position as UK Group CEO for Grey London and Group companies in September 2007. His brief was to drive growth with current and f uture clients, develop key client strategies and ensure that the rich array of Grey resource is offered to clients across communication disciplines.Between 2004 and 2007, David was Sony Europe’s Senior Vice President, Marketing Communication. He was responsible for all Sony Electronic marketing communication activities across Sony consumer and B2B divisions in over 40 countries. David headed up a team of 90 people across advertising, sponsorship and promotions, brand management, corporate and consumer PR, internet, strategy and planning, media, research, in store and CRM.Prior to this David was European Vice President, Marketing for PlayStation at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. During his nine years with the company he was responsible for implementing the widely acclaimed marketing strategy, positioning and planning for the European launches and on-going support of PlayStation and PlayStation 2.After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Business Management, David started his career at Nintendo in 1991 as UK Product Manager.During his career client side, David oversaw the production of over 100 TV commercials – most notably ‘PlayStation Double Life’ which won the Grand Prix at the British Television Advertising Awards in 1999, ‘PlayStation Mountain’ which won the Cannes Grand Prix in 2004, ‘Bravia Balls’ and ‘Bravia Paint’, Grand Prix winner of the BTAA in 2007.David was promoted to President & CEO of Grey Group EMEA in January 2010.
