Story | The TANK ad was shot in the University of Marylands Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility, which is one of only 2 tanks used by NASA for space research. It simulates weightlessness, allowing scientists to engage in research dedicated to making it easier and safer to work in space. The tank contains 378 000 gallons of water. Its HUGE. The creative team was aided by the University of Maryland research faculty, including some PhDs at the university. The photographer and assistant had to get scuba certified and get a first aid qualification in order to be allowed to shoot in the tank. |
Philosophy | This campaign is about making heroes of the people who design and create Lenovo products: the worlds best engineers. It is because of them that Lenovo ThinkPad has won more design awards than any other company. |
Problem | The new world isnt being built by movie stars or football players, pop singers or supermodels. Its being built by scientists and researchers and engineers. Theyre the people who should be celebrated. The people who are really doing something to make our lives better. |
