Story | Last year the Peru Country Brand sent a delegation of Peruvian celebrities to the town of Peru, Nebraska to read them “their rights as Peruvians”. A big, lively “demo” of Peruvian culture showed the strength of the Peruvian Country Brand as it conquered the heart of the U.S. The campaign won two lions at Cannes 2012. This time, a sequel from Y&R Peru takes advantage of the homonymy between “Loreto, Peru” (the capital of the Peruvan-Amazonian region) and “Loreto, Italy” (an Italian city, diametrically opposite of its Peruvian homonym). A new Peruvian delegation arrives there with the mission to share the wonders of the Amazonian jungle with their counterparts as “they’re from Loreto, but they don’t know what it means”. They will receive an unknown explosion of joy, music, food and tropical mysticism. |
