The Dubai Shopping Festival kicks off on January 3rd 2013 and the festival has just launched a new distinct and powerful film for the event.
The film was directed by Melanie Bridge who is well known for her visually rich and innovative spots. Melanie worked with Dubai based agency TBWA/RAAD and production company City Films to create this emotional and visually pleasing film.
The film takes viewers on a journey of Dubai in a way that has never been explored before. Says Melanie Bridge “I always go crazy taking photos when I land in a new country as everything seems so beautiful and different, yet after a while your eyes can become jaded and you stop seeing the beauty. So I made a conscious choice to build the ad around all the things I found amazing in those first couple of days - the fresh perspective of a New Zealand girl straight off the plane. People in Dubai were surprised by the ad, it reawakened the beauty of Dubai for them too”.
