A consumer psychologist by education, Piet has over 20 years of experience in brand building, working for agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO, before joining Duval Guillaume in 2011. His passion is helping brand teams “give birth” to a positioning, and helping creative teams find sharp consumer insights to turn into powerful communication.He is Author of “De Verlichte Merkdespoot” (“The Enlightened Brand Despot”, 2013), in which he argues that a powerful brand positioning should not be exclusively based on the whims of consumers, but mainly on the DNA and internal culture of a brand.
