Top prizes awarded to students in the i-dott design competition

i-dott (inspiring designers of tomorrow, today) enables surface pattern design students to present their work to the international wallpaper and textile industries giving them the opportunity to have their work assessed and critiqued by design experts.

The Overall Masterpiece award, with a cash prize of €1000, was awarded to Cassie Suche, a Canadian student going into her final year at Leeds Arts University. Cassie also picked up the AVA sponsored award for a CAD specialist training course, and first prize in the category Wabi-Sabi winning £500.

Other prizes went to Megan Whalen, 3rd place in the Artisan category, Louise Barlow, 3rd place in the category Metropolis and Kara Ferguson, 2nd place in 2020 Vision.

It reinforces our ongoing commitment to design education for real world solutions, educating students to be exciting creative designers who will have an impact on the creative industries for years to come.

To take home an award in every category is a great achievement, and to have one student win a hat -trick of awards is exceptional!”

The students will be presented with their awards at a gala dinner, held in Manchester on 3 October to coincide with National Wallpaper Week, and hosted by acclaimed designer Neisha Crosland.
