Story The logo created by our design group inspired a slew of marketing materials including the lapel pin, bracelets and a series of other merchandise to be used for fundraising.
Philosophy MeringCarson dug in to understand the challenges and opportunities that Veterans face as they return home from service to our country. This discovery and immersion process unearthed the phrase “Got Your Six,” which is
military vernacular for “I’ve got your back.” The powerful expression became the launching point of a new brand, logo and a comprehensive activation/support program highlighting the six key pillars of civilian reintegration: Education, Health, Housing, Family, Leadership and Jobs.
Problem The Hollywood Military Forum was formed by a group of veterans who now worked in the entertainment and media industries. This group wanted to change the conversation about Veterans returning home from combat and help them to successfully transition into civilian life. They approached us with a simple request: give us a new logo.
Result Results have completely exceeded all expectations. The visibility effort at the Academy Awards led to dozens of key celebrities wearing the “6” pin, earning more than 97 million media impressions of the Got Your 6 PSA in-kind in multiple time slots including primetime and during NFL games. Combined, the Got Your 6 website, social media channels and partner activations (such as a major promotion with Macy’s) have generated nearly $3 million in merchandise revenues/contributions.
