Troy began his career as an account executive at BBDO in Brisbane, Australia, before moving to Leo Burnett in 1994. He spent ten years with Leo Burnett in Chicago, Asia-Pacific and Sydney. Working in Burnett’s office in Chicago, he was responsible for all brand and creative development for Procter & Gamble’s Cheer, Luvs and Era brands. Subsequently, he was named Regional Account Director on Procter & Gamble business in Asia Pacific. In 2000, he became the Managing Director of Burnett’s agency in Sydney. During his time in Sydney, Burnett was named Agency of the Year a record four times and in his final year, Burnett Australia was the most awarded agency at the Cannes Lions festival. In 2004, Troy returned to BBDO in New York to lead the agency’s billion-dollar AT&T business. Under Troy, the work on AT&T became some of the most sought-out advertising in the category, winning Cannes Lions, Effies, Clios, One Show pencils and Webby Awards. In 2008, Troy was inducted into the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Hall of Achievement, honoring those people 40 years of age or under who have had a significant impact on the industry through their leadership, career achievements and inspiring personal qualities. Troy went on to hold the role of Deputy Chairman, BBDO North America, where he focused on building BBDO’s digital and strategic planning capabilities and establishing new client service offerings. He moved up to assume the role of Chairman and CEO, BBDO, The Americas. Here he had oversight of BBDO’s operations in North, South and Central America, including the Proximity direct and digital agency network. He joined TBWA from Omnicom Group in July 2014. At Omnicom he was Executive Vice President, responsible for driving cross-agency collaboration and innovation for Omnicom’s largest clients.

Garbutt started his career at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris in South Africa before moving to TBWA\Paris to become its Executive Creative Director, where he produced some of the agency’s most celebrated work for Nissan, Absolut, PlayStation, Canderel and Pedigree. As Global Creative President, Garbutt will oversee the creative direction for TBWA's hallmark global clients including Nissan, McDonalds, Adidas, Pernod Ricard, and more, while also partnering with newly-appointed CEO Rob Schwartz to helm the network’s flagship New York office in the role of Chief Creative Officer. Garbutt will report to Ruhanen and to Worldwide Creative Director, John Hunt. Garbutt, 43, will join TBWA from Ogilvy & Mather East in New York, where he has served as Chief Creative Officer. As CCO, his oversight and leadership spanned all agency disciplines and he is credited with award-winning campaigns for IBM and Coca-Cola. Prior to joining Ogilvy in New York, Garbutt was Chief Creative Officer of the network’s Paris office, where he helped to propel the agency to new creative heights producing global campaigns for Perrier, Louis Vuitton and Google. In 2014, Advertising Age named Garbutt one of the most awarded Chief Creative Officers in the world. He has won nearly 100 Cannes Lions in his career, including three Grand Prix awards, as well as top honors in The One Show, D&AD, Webbys, Clios and Art Director’s Club awards. A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Garbutt began his career in Johannesburg as a Creative Director at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, where he spent four years working under the tutelage of then-CCO, John Hunt.

Rob Schwartz was once described as a "CEO's Creative Director." He has since transformed from CCO to CEO and is currently Chief Executive Officer of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York. Since Rob has taken over in 2015, the New York office has enjoyed explosive growth boasting 14 new business wins in a mere 18 months. Throughout his career, Rob has spearheaded work for blue-chip brands including Nissan, McDonald's, Pepsi, Thomson Reuters and Visa, to name but a few. Along the way he has won nearly every advertising award including Grand Effie's, Cannes Lions, and One Show pencils. He has also been a Cannes Lions Jury President and jury member. Rob was recognized as ThinkLA's "Leader of the Year." And is considered one of Adweek's "25 Voices to Follow in Social Media." He also lends his voice to Forbes and Campaign where he is a popular and regular contributor. A few more facts about him? Rob is a board member of the 4As. He is a Friar at the Friars Club. Kyla leads global business development for TBWA Worldwide and is a member of the global executive team. She works with key leaders and offices across the TBWA network to drive growth for the agency, including new business, organic growth, and promoting the network's latest platforms and services. In addition to this role, Kyla continues leading business development for TBWA\​Chiat\​Day New York. Since joining the New York office in January 2014, she has spearheaded the agency's unprecedented run of new business wins including H&M, NBCUniversal, Travelers, Thomson Reuters, Sport Chek, GoDaddy, Pernod Ricard’s Kenwood Vineyards. Formerly Director of Business Development in Europe for Crispin Porter + Bogusky, she led winning European pitches for Coke Zero, Diesel, Ubisoft, Captain Morgan, and the global Turkish Airlines account. She first began her career at TBWA at the network’s Sydney-based Whybin\​TBWA, and gained additional global experience working at both Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi. Kyla is an established industry speaker, having been featured at Advertising Week and Harvard Women in Business events. She also has the distinction of being recognized by the IPA & Campaign’s “Women of Tomorrow.”
