Dana has established a nearly 30-year career steeped in design leadership, business and brand consulting, and policymaking. In his current role as CEO, Dana leads enterprise activities including strategic planning, growth initiatives, people development and the integration of the firm’s diverse capabilities. Under his leadership, the firm has developed significant scale, capability, and reputation, leading to VSA’s profile as one of the industry’s leading brand agencies. Recognized internationally by multiple organizations for his contributions to design and design thinking, Dana continues to guide VSA in the creation of brand programs, digital and interactive initiatives, and marketing solutions for a diverse roster of world-class clients.
Cory has pursued a career that bridges the technology and design fields, and he continues to drive innovation as lead of VSA’s Agile Discipline. His experience ranges from technology VP at an Internet startup and leading his own software consultancy to academic research and teaching at Columbia University and Pratt Institute. He also holds several patents in software and building design. In 2006, Cory co-founded Tender Creative, which became part of VSA Partners in fall of 2012.
A graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Cheri’s diverse background in investment banking, strategy consulting and marketing—along with experience as a CMO on the client side working with agency partners—gives her an insight unique within VSA. As COO, Cheri brings a mix of strategic expertise, organizational experience and creative skills that merge seamlessly with VSA’s unique approach to clients: a passion for outperformance and quest for growth. Her background solidifies systems and critical thinking, problem solving, value creation and client-side experience for the complex backbone of the firm. Cheri’s commitment to empowering people to make the best decisions and expanding efficiency and effectiveness impacts everyone at VSA. In her spare time, Cheri is committed to the Chicago community and serves on boards, from Ravinia Associates to the Children’s Service Board of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital to her daughter’s preschool.
A recognized leader for decades in design and brand identity, Jamie has been instrumental in shaping VSA’s integrated approach to brand-building, including work in organizational change, corporate reputation, identity and digital. He joined VSA Partners as a creative principal in 1990 and his collaborations have included work with some of the most celebrated organizations in the world. Jamie’s work has been internationally recognized by more than 100 competitions and designations, including a presence in the permanent collection in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Claudine joined VSA in 2007 and has since put her leadership and strong design sensibility to work for enterprises such as IBM and Nike. She has been instrumental in building and tailoring teams for VSA clients as well as establishing innovative processes inside the company, placing her at the center of VSA’s growing New York office where she currently co-leads the design team. Before joining VSA, Claudine led branding engagements with clients such as Citibank, Coca-Cola and many globally-recognized luxury brands in New York. She holds two degrees in design from Le Collège de Sherbrooke and the School of Visual Arts.
Eric has been instrumental in defining VSA’s unique, strategic approach to developing transformative brands and experiences. He and his teams in Chicago and New York draw on the arts and sciences of storytelling, semiotics, archetypal psychology and rationalist philosophy to deepen the emotional engagement between brands and their constituents. While at VSA, Eric has helped to shape the brand strategies and voices of cultural icons like IBM, JAMA, Target, Converse and Cole Haan. Before joining VSA, Eric worked as an editor at Vintage Books. He holds degrees in literature and philosophy from NYU and the University of Chicago.
Jim manages VSA’s finance and legal teams and supports all aspects of the company, blending financial rigor with an operational orientation and strategic mindset. With extensive experience in guiding growth and investment decisions and profitability improvements, he has held senior finance positions at Nielsen and PepsiCo/Quaker in both corporate and divisional roles. Jim holds an MBA in finance and strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a CPA from the State of Illinois and a BBA degree from The University of Notre Dame.
Pat leads strategic planning, research, and analytics for VSA’s consumer marketing practice. Combining techniques from anthropology, psychology, and behavioral economics with quantitative rigor, he develops insights that inspire creative advertising and activation strategies. Previously EVP and Global Strategy Director for Leo Burnett, he has worked on many of the world’s most valuable and iconic brands. With more than 25 years of agency experience, Pat is also an expert on measurement and works with client teams ensure effectiveness and ROI.
Dave joined VSA in 1998 as Design Director, and leads VSA’s design team in delivering experiences for some of the most respected brands in the world, including IBM, Harley-Davidson, Caterpillar, Thomson Reuters and GE. He is responsible for the planning and development of projects that range from mobile applications to branded environments, and is a driving force behind the culture, spirit and quality of the design practice and the work it produces. His work has been recognized by the New York Art Directors Club, D&AD, Graphis, the Black Book AR100 show, Communication Arts and Critique Magazine. Dave received his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Michigan and his MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Washington.

Widely recognized as a leader in cross-channel marketing, William heads VSA’s consumer marketing practice, overseeing digital, direct/CRM, advertising, promotion and shopper/retail marketing solutions for some of the world’s most respected brands. William was previously President and Chief Creative Officer of North America for Arc Worldwide, the global marketing company and part of Leo Burnett Worldwide and the Publicis Groupe. He has been recognized more than 300 times with major creative awards around the world and served as president of the jury at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.
Anne-Marie leads teams in solving issues of corporate reputation, brand and digital communications for several industry-leading brands. Her strong critical thinking and communications skills help motivate teams toward solutions that combine business relevance with superlative creative execution. Anne-Marie’s goal is to build enduring relationships with clients by providing strategic guidance and leadership across integrated brand programs, with an emphasis on digital channels.
Curt leads the client engagement practice at VSA, setting organization-wide standards for client management and helping to shape the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Since joining VSA in 1991, Curt has been instrumental in expanding the company from a small office of 15 to a cross-disciplinary, multi-office firm of more than 250 professionals. In addition to his VSA business responsibilities, Curt directs the firm’s long-term relationship with IBM, guiding its brand strategy and identity, corporate marketing communications and digital presence.

A founding director of the IBM Design Lab, he focuses on new models for digital design and development, cross-organization integration and the extension of IBM brand values to key moments of client/IBM interface. His diverse background in design, technology and brand strategy informs the development and leadership of uniquely collaborative teams that are built to mirror VSA clients’ business strategies and rapidly deliver value to key constituencies.
Andrea brings more than 20 years of experience developing integrated brand solutions, building businesses and leading strong teams for iconic brands. She has led agency relationships with clients including Lufthansa Airlines, Capital One and AT&T; directed integrated marketing solutions for Allstate, Travelocity, Samsung and others; and served as a marketing executive for JetBlue Airways, Virgin America, Avis and more. As the founder of the marketing consultancy AKS Communications, she specialized in brand management, integrated campaign development, agency search and new business development for clients including Virgin Group, American Express and Condé Nast.

Heather leads overall growth efforts across VSA, supporting major areas of business including business development, marketing, public relations, brand leadership and content creation. Her 20 years of experience in marketing and agency leadership, account management and strategic planning include roles at some of the world’s top agencies including DDB and BBDO in Chicago, New York and Sydney. Most recently, she led business development initiatives as Leo Burnett’s EVP, Director of Growth, and was part of the creation of Farmhouse, the company’s innovation brand.
Since joining VSA in 2012, Jim has been instrumental in growing its burgeoning consumer marketing practice. He provides executive leadership and creative direction across the group and oversees its infrastructure in digital development and social media management. In his past experience as a creative director for Leo Burnett, Arc Worldwide and others, he conceived and executed national and international digital and social media marketing campaigns for McDonald’s, Diageo, Nintendo, P&G, Whirlpool, Nestlé Purina, Capital One, Unilever, Kellogg’s, K-Mart and Kimberly-Clark, among many more. His storied background as a radio and television producer, writer and performer prepared him well for his career in marketing and advertising.
With expertise in directing major brand and strategic design initiatives, Jeff leads client teams serving leading companies worldwide. Jeff’s 20-plus years of experience include guiding strategy, brand and design work for VSA’s relationship with GE for more than a decade. His work for Goldman Sachs, USAA, Wilson Sports, Cingular Wireless and IBM have encompassed global brand identity and naming, brand systems, advertising, package design, collateral, environments and stakeholder communications in both consumer and business-to-business engagements.
An industry-leading creative talent, Bob has been recognized by every major competition throughout his career and most recently as the executive creative director of CP+B Miami, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, the Clios, D&AD and SXSW. He is the creator of Bud Light’s “Real Men of Genius” campaign, is a frequent award show jury member and recently completed a short film titled Beth about the backstory of the famous KISS song of the same name. His work has been covered by Fast Company and is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. As executive creative director, Bob leads all creative for VSA’s consumer marketing practice.
