| Story | The ad opens on a garden scene and pans across three garden gnomes fishing in a pond – their different coloured outfits representing Asda’s main competitor supermarkets. The voice over all promising to match each other on price. But then – enter Gavin. A slightly rotund, but devastatingly cool gnome, floating across the pond on a lilo and sporting a green mankini and flip flops. He is the Asda gnome – and he’s a little bit special, because he isnt like the rest. He doesn’t match prices, he beats them. |
