Story The NHS’ stroke awareness department has one purpose; ‘to reduce death and disability from stroke’ (stroke is the UK’s third biggest killer and the main cause of adult disability).
One of the steps to achieving this is ensuring that potential savers are able to spot the symptoms of a stroke unequivocally and call 999. So, channelling their brand purpose, we developed a campaign idea that gave people all the information they needed, along with a clear and simple instruction – Act F.A.S.T.
Since the launch of Act F.A.S.T in 2010, nearly 24,000 people have got to hospital within the vital 3 hour window of having a stroke. In 2014, we have revamped the campaign to show the effects of a stroke even more vividly, putting the issue firmly back in the public eye.
