BBDO has been in business since 1891, when George Batten first opened a one-room advertising agency, the Batten Co., at 38 Park Row in New York City. The agency merged with BDO (Barton, Durstine & Osborn) in 1928 to become BBDO. Over the following decades, BBDO became one of the world's leading creative agency networks.
