As Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of McCann Worldgroup, Harris Diamond leads a multidisciplinary marketing services organization that creates communications solutions for many companies and brands around the world. The group, which consists of 24,000 employees in more than 100 countries, works for global corporations such as Coca-Cola, General Mills, General Motors, L´Oréal, MasterCard, Microsoft, Nestlé, and Reckitt Benckiser as well as many regional and local clients. McCann Worldgroup's integrated omni-platform offering is comprised of industry-leading global communications networks that work together collaboratively to deliver effective marketing solutions. These include McCann Erickson (advertising); MRM//McCann (digital marketing/relationship management); Momentum Worldwide (brand experience); McCann Health (health communications); CRAFT (global adaptation and production); Weber Shandwick (public relations); FutureBrand (consulting/ branding design); and PMK-BNC (entertainment/brand/popular culture). Recognized widely for his achievements as a communications professional, Harris was named by Advertising Age as its 2015 “Executive of the Year.” This follows similar accolades for his leadership in the public relations field. He was named “PR Agency Executive of the Decade” by The Holmes Report and has been cited as one of the “100 most influential PR people in the 20th century” by PR Week. Prior to joining McCann Worldgroup, Harris was CEO of Weber Shandwick, which was formed in 2001 following the combination of BSMG Worldwide (which was acquired by Interpublic in 2001), where he was a founding partner and the CEO, and Interpublic Group’s Weber Shandwick. Harris also served as CEO of IPG’s multidiscipline Constituency Management Group (CMG), which was created in 2004 and comprised companies in public relations (Weber Shandwick, Golin), sports marketing (Octagon), experiential marketing (Jack Morton Worldwide), and consulting/ branding design (FutureBrand). Harris’s civic involvements have encompassed both the health and cultural areas. He serves as Chairman Elect of the Ronald McDonald House of New York, which helps provide a home away from home for children being treated for serious illness, and as a board member of the New York City Center, the performing arts venue. He also holds industry positions as a board member of the U.S. Ad Council and has served on the Board of Directors of several public companies and as a past Chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms. Earlier in his career, Harris served as a political campaign consultant, working on U.S. gubernatorial and senatorial campaigns, and advising foreign governments and political parties. He holds both MBA and JD degrees.

Inspired from an early age to the power of brands; their purpose, their story and their ability to create meaningful connections, led me to a career in the communications industry spanning 20 years. It is an industry that has seen some of the most dynamic, challenging and exciting changes in brand and consumer behaviour – changes that have defined my experience and shaped my career.

I have a depth and breadth of experience across brands, sectors and communication disciplines; developing multi-media campaigns that have driven consumer and cultural impact as well as commercial value for world-class brands including: Barclays, Chanel, DHL, GSK, Patek Philippe, P&G, Stella Artois, Sony PlayStation, Twinings and Tommy Hilfiger.

I have led business at both independent and global network creative agencies, as well as client side in London, New York and Amsterdam. My career to date has been primarily focused on building consumer facing brands in partnership with clients, as well as being a client myself. More recently, I have been involved in management positions focused on marketing and business growth, building two very different agency brands.

Co Presidents & Chief Creative Officers

Rob is Co-president and Chief Creative Officer of McCann London. After reading Politics at Edinburgh, and completing the copywriting and art direction course at Watford, Rob moved to Amsterdam to work for start up agency John Doe as a writer. After three years in Amsterdam, and having created the popular Sammy Says series and helped MTV Benelux to be voted most creative region worldwide, Rob moved to Mother London in 2006 where he teamed up with Lolly Thomson. After creating award-winning work across the full range of Mother’s clients and the 7th funniest ad of all time (Campaign Magazine) the pair moved to Wieden and Kennedy London as Creative Directors in 2010. Then, winning Cyber Lions for their work on Nokia, and launching the global Nestea campaign, Rob and Lolly left Wiedens to join Linus Karlsson at McCann London. They joined as Executive Creative Directors and less than a year later, they were promoted to head up the agency as Co-Presidents and Chief Creative Officers. Rob has three children and a unicorn.
