Mike joined Proximity as CEO in December 2008. He spent the previous 12 years at OgilvyOne, first as Client Services Director and then as Managing Director and CEO.
For the past five years, Mike has won and successfully managed relationships with Lloyds, Royal Mail, BBC, P&G, Volkswagen and Shell.
Mike began his career client side, working for telecommunications giant GTE. He learnt the rudiments of direct marketing at his first agency DMB&B Direct. The next part of Mike’s career was spent at BBH where he was introduced to the fundamentals of brand and integrated marketing from some of the best in the business. From BBH he joined Ogilvy where he added digital and international experience to the mix working across BT, British Gas, British Airways and Unilever. Throughout his career, Mike has been involved with award winning work, the biggest UK brands, long term client agency relationships and complex direct and digital assignments. He is a well known industry figure and a passionate spokesperson for the direct and digital sector. He is also a member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain.
Nick has worked in digital and CRM since 1994, in three of biggest global agency networks: Ogilvy, Wunderman and, for the past 9 years, Proximity.
Throughout his career, Nick has led business across the globe for some of the world’s most valuable and recognized brands, including P&G, Allianz, Kraft, Shell, Mercedes-Benz and Ford.
At Proximity Nick heads up the agency’s international accounts, providing strategic leadership and organizing the network to deliver best in class local, regional and global work for our multinational clients.
Originally from Durban, South Africa, Nick has an honors degree in economics and marketing from the University of Cape Town.
