Pedro Avery

Pedro Avery

Pedro Avery is CEO of Arena Media. His role is to drive the innovation and teamwork within Arena UK, and he is known for his inquisitiveness and ideation skills when tackling complex advertiser solutions.
Having started his career in 1988 at the full service advertising agency, D’Arcy Massius Benton & Bowles, Pedro eventually moved to JWT, where he spent 6 years. He moved to BLM in 1997, and was integral in helping it grow into the UK’s leading independent agency. Following its acquisition by Havas in 2007, Pedro rose quickly to become Chief Investment Officer (2010) and Managing Director (2011).
Pedro has vast experience of most client categories, from the world’s biggest advertisers to launching new brands and products. He has won many industry awards, from Cannes Lions to Campaign Awards, and is a regular speaker on the conference circuit. He can often be found listening to and helping young entrepreneurs get projects off the ground.

As CEO, Paul’s role is to ensure Havas Media delivers excellent results for both clients and shareholders. His real expertise though is as a thought leader in the industry. He is at the forefront of media and can talk about any trend or media channel. Paul also oversees the evolution of the agency and future-proofs the structure and market offering. This includes product development – from the evolution of traditional media product, such as TV into Video, and Trading into Programmatic. In addition to this, Paul focuses on product innovation – whether this is in the digital space, in Data, Content or Programmatic – or adding new skills to the agency’s offering, such as the acquisitions of Havas Media Group’s DBi and SCB Partners.

He is also the external face of Havas Media Group and looks after senior client relationships and new business across the group. His responsibilities include thought leadership, partner development and defining the future agency model.
