Philosophy & Competitive Advantages

We're partners that actually begin our careers on Madison Avenue. Joe Dell' Aquila at Ogilvy & Mather, and Harry Falber at Scali, McCabe, Sloves. We also worked together for Dr. Edwin Land at Polaroid.

When we started, clients and agencies took pride in their relationships. Art Direction and Copywriting were crafts learned virtually by apprenticeship. Account Service emphasied the word service, and chances were great that the client began her or his career on the agency side, and you had many agency people that began on the client or media side. We learned, grew and were mentored by each other. We also shared common goals.

What we learned, we still take to heart and use to help our clients get better results from their agency|client relationships and internal marketing groups.

Advertising, no matter what the size of your budget, no matter whether appearing in digital, TV, radio, print, broadcast, promotion, DRTV or event marketing and public relations, no matter whether business-to-business, business-to-consumer or direct-to-consumer should always have four crystal clear goals:

1. It should set you and your products apart from your competitors and be memorable.

2. It needs to present your company’s and products attributes clearly, concisely and never underestimate to audience’s intelligence.

3. It must reach as many of the right consumers or customers for your product and services at the best possible costs.

4. It should always be honest.

Those goals rule all our work.

As ad agency search consultants, we help advertisers find new creative, sales promotion, digital, licensing, PR, media or full-service ad agencies following evaluation of client needs, and negotiate fair compensation agreements for both sides. We also on-board the new agencies as well as repair existing agency|client relationships.

In that same process, we see it from the agency side as well and believe that as an agency, you should be treated fairly and compensated fairly by your clients, and in return give them the best creative work possible.

In our role as investment, merger and sale advisors we know that as agency owners, there becomes a time to enjoy what you've built. We help you create the right exit strategy that serves you and the people that helped you get where you are. We also advise agency owners on agency valuation for sale, merger or growth through M&A as well as introducing them to potential investors or buyers.

Working with private equity investment firms, we know you want to build the strongest portfolios imaginable. We help insure you do.

And for agencies and investment houses growing a competitive footprint, our merger and acquisition work for firms in their acquiring of creative, digital, media, and other marketing communication agencies for portfolios as well as identifying future merger or acquisition targets has a successful track record.

For the last two decades we've also worked hand-in-hand with client companies when competetive pressures took on lives of their own. Our consumer product and service tactical consulting work for CEOs and CMOs helps manage and attack unforeseen competitive situations and challenges that call for strategically targeted, and quickly implemented action plans - domestic or international - and current staffing is ill-equipped to handle the rapid response needs critical to success.
