Story Challenge
Turn the entire exhibition concept on its head: create an inspirational exhibit at TED 2017 that would bring awareness to EVERFI’S mission and purpose, encourage support for their education innovation movement, and leverage the collective wisdom and insight of the TED conference for EVERFI’S learners.
 
Solution
Eventive developed an immersive experiential environment that would solicit TED 2017 event attendees to virtually “meet” students across the world and impart their best advice for the future. Instead of a “TED Talk,” we created a “TED Listen.”
 
Execution

The kiosks featured looping videos of kids beckoning attendees over to hear their personal story.
Attendees would listen as bright, inquisitive EVERFI students asked them thoughtful pre-recorded questions about the future.
Then, attendees would be prompted to record their advice for the students via webcam; this knowledge was then compiled into videos which were distributed to participating K-12 schools to help empower students to face life’s challenges, and shared on social media.

 
Results
EVERFI believes that it’s the progress of individuals that moves society forward. By flipping the script on the traditional technology event experience, Eventive put that belief into action, giving individual learners a voice. Additionally, we gave TED 2017 attendees an opportunity to become educators themselves, and to gain a much deeper understanding of EVERFI’s commitment to the success of the individual learner.
