Curtis began his career in account management in Atlanta at the Southeast office of legendary Doyle Dane Bernbach. The Atlanta Business Chronicle soon named him the “Rising Star” in Atlanta’s Advertising Industry. His efforts were rewarded when, at 27, he was named the first partner to be added in the 20-year history of the city’s largest independent agency. In 1987 — with no clients, little money and a strong desire to raise their children in a smaller city — he and wife Carrie moved to Tallahassee to launch Bright Red \ TBWA. Curtis has been responsible for the growth and development of advertising, digital and social media as the agency ascended and became one of the largest and most creative in the South. His experience and commitment to strategy has been the backbone of agency client planning. It’s no surprise that he is actively involved in Disruption Planning which keeps him involved in our client’s business on a daily basis.
Andy began his 25-year journey in the advertising business at Y&R NY, where he spent nearly a decade working on some of the agency’s largest brands, including: The Walt Disney Company, CitiBank, US Army and People Magazine. From there, he took a greater leadership role in strategy when he joined Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, and was responsible for the EFFIE Award-winning Citibank AAdvantage account and Sony’s foray into the online business. Andy joined Bright Red \ TBWA in 2004, and has played a key role in the development of the agency’s planning discipline, including Disruption Planning. He is highly involved with and loved by all of our clients, which has allowed him to amass knowledge and experience from many categories including travel, CPG, financial services, telecom, automotive, fashion, restaurant, and retail.
Known for his honesty and ability to earn trust from both clients and creative teams, Jason spent the majority of his career in Atlanta leading Account Service teams at Bigelow Advertising, Fletcher Martin and Doner. His broad range of senior management and direct strategic experience includes working with clients like Coca-Cola, Time Warner Cable, Ovation Brands, Church’s Chicken, Carvel, AOL, and more. He joined The Zimmerman Agency in 2014, because he saw a great collection of talent worthy of making Tallahassee the next advertising hub of the southeast. He’s doing his part by being a model leader on our Krystal business, and inspiring everyone on his team to be a valuable client partner. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Jason serves on the Southeast AAAA’s Board of Governors, as well as Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism’s Ad Department Executive Board.
Originating from Edinburgh, Scotland, Rob learned his craft as a designer in Europe. He now leads the creative department of the world’s most creatively awarded network. He holds his team to the same high standards of every TBWA office, and is fluent in Disruption and Media Arts. He recognizes any space between a brand and its audience is media, and that sometimes the best ideas come from outside the creative department. In fact, where is shines is how he works with each department to make sure all the elements are truly integrated and building on the brand idea. Clients give him high marks for his ability to listen, and he is comfortable speaking the language of business – albeit with a slight accent. Rob’s work has gained recognition from major award shows including: Communications Arts, New York Art Directors, One Show, and the National Addy Awards.

Four years into his career, John was named the “Rising Media Star” in South Florida. He made a strong name for himself as a senior media planner and buyer at Beber Silverstein, and then with Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, establishing an envious career path among his contemporaries. When he decided to move his family to Tallahassee, we jumped at the chance to have him join our team. While the agency’s depth in media is considerably buoyed by our Omnicom advantage, it is John’s astute planning and commitment to creativity that makes the relationship work for our clients. In addition to analyzing data and finding brilliant strategies, he works closely with the entire brand team to architect a connection map. This takes into account every piece of media that will be used, it’s purpose and how it interacts with everything else in the market.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have Suzanne leading our social media team. She’s a strategist, journalist, data geek, PR pro, pop-culture junkie and multi-tasker. She is passionate about results and has instilled the same intensity within our social teams. Suzanne joined the agency in 2015 from Moxie where she supervised social strategies for national accounts including: Coca-Cola, UPS, Moe’s, Verizon, Nike, L’Oreal, BET and Georgia-Pacific. She was the recipient of several national awards for social media creativity and performance, and was named the Moxie Employee of the Year. Suzanne developed our Social Media Command Center, and has brought a new approach to strategy and community management, complemented by world-class social media technology.
Ad agency new business is often compared to dating. Since Stephanie did a whole lot of dating before getting married, it’s no surprise she’s found her niche matching agencies with like-minded clients. She joined Bright Red\TBWA earlier this year to help the agency grow our brand and work with clients for whom we can do our best work. A Carolina girl, she spent 18 years at McKinney using her industry relationships and new business best practices to help them build an enviable client list that included the likes of ESPN, Sony, Travelocity, Nike, and Virgin. She is a master of the details and knows how to make teams shine. Stephanie is a proud Tar Heel, having followed Michael Jordan from Laney High School to UNC-Chapel Hill, and is a member of the 4As New Business Committee.
