An art exhibition with banknotes to raise funds

Worldwide 20 million people are blind as a result of cataracts, the general public are mostly unaware that it can get cured for just 50 Swiss Franc. Christoffel Blindenmission wanted to express this concept in a place known for its affluence. The Dolder Grand Resort hotel in Zurich is known for its interior design and its selected artwork. The association and its agency created an art installation with 50-franc-bills that showed faces in their shadows when light was directed on them. These shaped faces represented real patients waiting to be cured with the following message: "Bring a person back from the dark". An easy donation system was set up. During the period of the exhibition, the average donation and the global amount increased significantly
