In Spain, Burger King and its agency David Madrid are continuing to build their relationship with gamers after successful campaigns like FIFA 2020 and The Stevenage Challenge. This time basketball game NBA 2K21 was the playing field. Using the game’s basketball court customization tools, they created “The Menu Court” – a court that’s also a Burger King menu, with images of products all over its surface. Fans who downloaded the game could position their player on a specific product – say a Big King Sandwich – and shoot at the hoop. If they scored, they won the snack! To win a full menu, they had to shoot from a longer distance: the very middle of the court. To redeem their prizes, they shared the video of their shot on Twitter with the hashtag #BKMenuCourt. More than 500 prizes were claimed in just a few days – and Twitter was abuzz with news about the game and Burger King.
