Award winning creative and commercials director Sean Thompson just completed two spots through Dark Energy Films for FCB Inferno, in a new campaign for the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer. The campaign, targeted at the young family market, aims to boost awareness of the seven seat model.
The spots feature children’s toys, cleverly shot in a way to simulate a child’s imagination whilst simultaneously displaying the benefits of the product features. The first spot, ‘Robot’, exhibits the car’s optional kick motion activated boot, with a toy robot on a destructive path triggering the car’s sensor and letting the family pet out of the boot. The second spot, ‘Castle’, depicts an army of toys set to battle a reversing car, showcasing the standard feature Rear Park Distance Control. The films run the campaign line ‘Engineered for family life’.
