MEC and Maxus announce WAVEMAKER Netherlands Leadership

Tim Castree, Global CEO of GroupM’s Wavemaker today announced that Isabelle Dacz will take on the role of CEO of the newly combined MEC and Maxus agency in The Netherlands when it launches later this year.

Isabelle will lead a new management team which includes Edward Knol who becomes Managing Director.

Tim Castree, CEO of Wavemaker commented: “We’re merging Maxus and MEC to form a brand new billion-dollar revenue media content and technology agency called Wavemaker. With such ambition, comes a need for brilliant talent to lead and inspire, and so today’s news is very exciting for us. Under Isabelle’s leadership, I am confident that we have the right team in place to truly blend the best of MEC and Maxus and make Wavemaker Netherlands a formidable future-facing agency.”

About Isabelle Dacz

Isabelle Dacz has over 20 years of experience in the international media industry having worked across all sectors and regions. Isabelle started her media career in France. She later worked for Leo Burnett and Starcom in the Netherlands where she managed international clients and specialized in developing and executing international media strategies across the globe.

Isabelle joined MEC in 2004 and after several leadership positions took on the role of MEC CEO in May 2016. During her time at MEC Isabelle has focused on the growth and digital transformation of the company and its clients. Under her responsibility as CEO, the successful MEC Wavemaker label was introduced. This engagement label is completely dedicated to content strategy, social media, influencer marketing, creation and in-house production.
