Atomic appoints first Managing Director for next chapter of growth

Polly Dedman joins from Mr President 

January 14th 2016: Atomic London today announces the appointment of rising star Polly Dedman as its first Managing Director. Dedman joins from Mr President, where she was Head of Account Management and New Business, as Atomic looks to continue its growth this year.

Dedman, who has also spent time at Adam & Eve DDB and Dare Digital, has led accounts such as John Lewis – including the launch of the 2012 Snowman campaign – the Pottermore campaign for Sony as well as digital business for the likes of BMW and ITV, helping Dare to become Campaign’s Digital Agency of the Decade. She will report to Founding Partner Jon Goulding.

The appointment is Atomic’s third in a series of strategic hires as the agency sets itself up to continue its impressive growth since its formation in 2012. Dedman follows Howard Willmott, Director of Creative Innovation, and Louise Weston, Managing Director of programmatic division Atomic Live, who both joined towards the end of last year.

Goulding said: “We had a great 2015, winning a number of new clients and retaining all our others – plus hiring the likes of Howard Willmott. Polly is a vital ingredient in our next chapter as we start to build a senior management team with top notch creative credentials from the advertising and digital world.”

“She has an outstanding track record in leading Mr President and we believe she has all the attributes to make her a star of the ad industry for many years to come. I can’t wait to have her on board as we look to grow revenue by 50 per cent in the next 18 months.”

Dedman added: “I’ve watched Atomic’s progress with interest since it launched a little over three years ago. Its development in that time has been hugely impressive but I know the team has bigger ambitions for both creative output and business growth on the path to becoming a leading integrated creative agency. I believe I can help them take this next step and begin to compete with some of the big name agencies in the industry.”
