BriefAs a bell rings, a man climbs out of bed, fully dressed in a firefighter’s uniform. We hear sirens and the crackle of a walkie talkie. It’s as if there’s an emergency in progress. But as the firefighter moves slowly through the house, it looks peaceful, with no sign of fire. He goes downstairs, where he is greeted by a normal family. A young woman puts a scarf around his neck. A man suggests a walk. As the perspective changes, with realise that the firefighter is now an elderly man with Alzheimer’s. Understanding is the best treatment.
