TitleMarriage Market Takeover
BriefWhat is a “leftover woman”? In China, it is a single woman over the age of 25. In emotional video interviews, these women share stories of being pressured by their families and society to get married. And yet, they love their way of life – and they don’t want to settle. SK-II launched a campaign to share this message of strength and independence with their families at the famed Shanghai Marriage Market. Large beauty shots of leftover women hang in the square – each with a powerful statement: “I use another term called ‘power woman.’” Or “I am happy being alone.”

Herbal Essences / Changes

A survey done by Herbal Essences shows that 87% of American women say they made a significant change to their appearance after a life event.

In this short documentary four real women tell their stories of change. What initiated the change, what they did and what life was like after.

The score is a cover of David Bowie’s Changes performed by Jazmin – who is also featured in the film. Bowie was always challenging and reinventing his own identity. The title of his song became a natural choice for naming this campaign.
