BriefIn 2016 The Toronto Silent Film Festival was devoted to restored films that had previously been thought lost forever. To generate excitement, people were given the chance to “find” the films themselves. A game on Instagram featured an “escape room” in which the only way out was to find seven of the rare films. Players could search for clues, unscramble hidden messages and unlock their escape route, all without having to leave Instagram. Click on the film reels to see short films – some of which may be vital clues.
