The Many expands its media capabilities with the addition of Davis Jones

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 26, 2019 - Santa Monica-based agency, The Many, formerly known as Mistress, announced today the addition of Davis Jones as Managing Director, Media Services. In this new role for the agency, Jones’ primary task will be to continue expanding the agency’s media group and create a well-rounded mix of both traditional and non-traditional media experts who embrace the agency’s collaborative culture. The growing business unit will work closely with the creative team to introduce a media mindset early on in the creative process and develop innovative solutions that embrace the company’s history of pushing boundaries.

“As client needs continue to revert from siloed back to more integrated, we were searching for a media leader who could drive our vision forward,” said Amir Haque, Partner at The Many. “Davis fit the bill beyond our expectations, and is already making a meaningful impact.”

As the agency builds off of its growth momentum from 2018, the expansion of the media group will allow The Many to take on larger clients while maintaining its ability to service smaller, tenacious clients. Currently on their media roster is their first media-only client, Quest Nutrition, along with Monster Energy, Sambazon, and ASPS. The agency also announced recently another new Managing Director role as it promoted Todd Lombardo from Head of Digital and Social to Managing Director, Brand and Social. Lombardo will continue to oversee the social team and take on leadership of the brand team to apply the agency’s “modern media” thinking across the entire agency.

Jones joins The Many from Crossmedia where he served as group media director, his first stint at a media-only agency after 12 years at full-service creative agencies such as Swirl, Doremus, Colle+McVoy and Goodby Silverstein & Partners. With a focus on upfront planning, uncovering business insights, market research and audience connection, Jones’ previous clients include Tillamook, Juniper Networks, eBay, Salesforce, ZICO, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Clorox and Saturn Automotive.
