BriefA father and a son go on a road trip together in an attempt to reconnect after a lifetime of misunderstanding. There's even a heartbreaking twist at the end. We plunge into a complicated father-son relationship in Volkswagen's long-form ad. We feel the tension between the pair as they set off on a road trip in a treasured vintage VW. They ride in uncomfortable silence, they argue, they laugh, they live. And while we dont understand all the complexities of their bond, the ad invites us to see the emotions attached to a brand that has been passed down from one generation to the next.
