BriefChurch End Brewery asked the agency to come up with an idea for a new dark winter ale. The result was a new brew positioned as "a dark ale for the dark winter nights". Sideshow Ale harked back to the not-so-legal, behind-the-curtains areas of Victorian fairs. This was advertised with the help of an intriguing gallery of period characters. For the ale’s launch, a glass artist created a limited run of freakish bottles.
