VFX in "I, Tonya" the movie

Watching the Winter Olympics, have you wondered how a triple axel look up close? Academy Award nominated film, I, Tonya takes you to the ice rink where you can watch all the action up close and in slow motion. The triple axel is not the only maneuver in the film but also the skating shots in which Margot Robbie’s face never loses focus. The current Oscar contender was created on a rather low budget of $11M. How did they accomplish this “impossible” shot? The slow motion shot was created with the help of two ice skating doubles, a green screen, compiled data of Robbie’s face and advanced VFX.

Want to accomplish the impossible? Hideoki Productions teams up with the best VFX productions companies to accomplish a sophisticated imagery for you and your clients.

I, Tonya is still on theaters in NY, go watch the film and get hyped for the Oscars in March!
