Huge London Hires Astrid van Essen as Head of Client Services
Huge, the global experience agency, announced it has hired Astrid van Essen as Head of Client Services, effective immediately, as the agency continues to expand in response to its growing EMEA client needs. In her new role, van Essen will report directly to Managing Director, Alex Pym, where she will be tasked with oversight of the agency’s key European clients such as Google, LVMH, Barclays and Value Retail across a number of countries including the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
Van Essen joins Huge from IBM iX, where she was an Associate Partner. Previously she was a Managing Director at MediaMonks UK, where she spent over five years developing its first overseas office based in London with an emphasis on strategic growth and client services. In 2017, Astrid was featured in the Advertising Association Campaign “A great advert for Britain,” as well as Hospital Club Hot 100 (UK) and BIMA Hot 100.
Pym commented, “In an increasingly fragmented world, more and more clients are asking us to help them better connect with their audiences, tell their story and help them transform across any number of diverse touch points. Astrid is a fantastic addition to the team that will help us expand on the vision we are helping our clients unlock as we work with the UK and Europe’s most ambitious brands.”
"I am super excited to join Huge London and be part of the Huge family,” said Astrid. “The combination of deep-rooted creative and user-centric design experience and strong strategic thinking really resonates with me - and clients! I'm thrilled about the opportunity to work closely with Alex and Wayne, growing and strengthening the relationships with our new and existing clients and building out our London and European offerings."
